The Utgaard Funeral Home opened in 1946 and has been known by several names over the years including Burke Funeral Home, followed by Wheeler Funeral Home and then since 1979, the Nelson Funeral Home. Over the years, chapels were added in Leeds, Minnewaukan and Esmond, ND, thus serving the entire Benson County area and beyond. We continue to grow and find new and improved ways to meet and exceed the needs of families we serve while giving our genuine attention and heartfelt concern to the unique needs of each family. Along with our many services, we offer a complete line of monuments and markers.
