Rural Renaissance Festival

The Maddock Community Development office will be spearheading a Fall Festival on October 7-9, 2011.
Five committees have been recruited to help with the plannning. Many more volunteers will be needed as we move forward with the project. The reason for having the Festival is to attract people to the community, showcase its assets, and promote economic development. It will be exciting to have all the groups, organizationsand residents working together towards a common goal.

  • The entertainment committe has booked the very popular Johny Holms band and local musician Chris Ellingson will also entertain.
  • Scott Foss has generously agreed to plant and cut a peice of land to use as a corn maze. Precision Ag is planning a design and cutting the maze. How lucky we are to have such a wonderful group of people working on this project.
  • Vendors are currently being contacted to fill the Benson County Events Center.
  • A hospitality center and Farmers marketwill be set up at the Community Center.
  • There will also be: Hayrides, Hay fort, Food vendors, Pet  contests, Cooking contests, a climbing wall, Friday night supper, and entertainment, Demonstrations,5K Run and much more.!!!!!!!!!!

All committees and organizations are encouraged to get involved as this will be an annual event that Maddock andsurrounding communities will enjoy. If you are interested in helping with the event or showcasing your business or
handmade items please contact Debbie at 438-2436
