Maddock Community Center

The Maddock Community Center is located in the heart of Maddock. This spacious building is available for individual and organizations to rent for nearly any event. Rooms available are a large auditorium, enclosed meeting room, kitchen and dining room. Senior meals provides meals at the center M-W-F noon. Various community organizations hold regular meetings in the center. This venue is perfect for meetings, dances, receptions, reunions, birthday parties.

The Community Center Board meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 a.m. at the Maddock Cafe & Lanes. Board members are: Gary Wald, president, Tom Gilbertson; treasurer; Rita Sorlie secretary; at-large members Joann Bergrud,, Dave Haug, Pat Tracy, Milton Erickson, Allen Campbell.

Maddock Mutli-Purpose Event Center

Benson County Events Center (BCEC) (formerly known as the Multi-purpose building)

This is a newly constructed building with a gymnasium, bathrooms, kitchen, and an arena for 4-H Achievement Days, School Activites (basketball, volleyball, track, academic challenge, FFA Barnyard, prom and etc.) banquets, dances, farm shows, bull-a-ramas, horse and cattle sales, riding arena etc. 

Recent improvements are:

  • the soundproofing of the gymnasium and purchase of tables and chairs to seat up to 350 (a sound system, large screen and stage are available)
  • finishing of the SE banquet room (Sunrise Room) and purchase of round banquet tables with seating up to 100 and audio/visual set up and ready to use
  • finishing of five offices (3 rented, 2 available); heat, utilities and internet included
  • completion of a fitness center with 24/7 key access and commercial equipment (2 treadmills, 1 standing elliptical, 1 sitting elliptical, 1 recumbent bicycle, 1 upright bicycle, a functional trainer, 4 body strengthening (two upper, two lower) machines and exercise balls, steps, stretch straps, 46’ Direct TV, AC & ceiling fans
